I bought a juicer about a year and a half ago... I used it a lot in the beginning. Mostly I juiced oranges, apples, celery and carrots. After using it for awhile, I got bored juicing the same thing over and over. There are only so many combinations I could come up with for those four ingredients. I admit I wasn't very adventerous with my ingredients. Well, since being pregnant and the upcoming battle to lose the baby weight, along with wanting to get back to a healthy diet, I pulled the thing out again, and immediately threw the parts in the dishwasher; unfortunately it hadn't been used in quite awhile. I am getting excited! Not only could we make juices, instead of buying them, but we could also make homemade popsicles (we've gotten on this kick about eating the sugar-free pops for dessert... they come in this great variety pack of Fudgeciles, Popsicles and Creamsicles and low in calories as well, 70 for 2 pops and that's the fudgeciles!). Anyway, we recently bought a juicing book,
Squeezed. I am looking forward to trying out all of the recipes, but so far I have only made it through two and they are awesome! Below is what the cover of the book looks like if you on the hunt to buy it or you can come back and check out future posts! Following are the two I have tried out thus far:
Mango, Apple and Lime
3 Mangoes, peeled and pits removed
6 apples, stalks removed

2 limes, peeld
3/4-inch piece of ginger
and Honey to taste
Makes 2 medium glasses
Pineapple Ginger Kick
1/2 pineapple
3 oranges, peeled
1 1/2-inch piece ginger
ice cubes, to serve
Makes 2 small glasses
